Provost Sally Kornbluth, who accepted the role as the 18th president of MIT in October, led Duke in improving faculty excellence and the student experience. Duke also saw the departures of three others who helped shape Duke: Valerie Ashby, Kyle Cavanaugh and Mike Schoenfeld.
